Dossier: A card styled like a secret case file about one alien species.
AFC: The Archive of First Contact: our made-up library of alien species.
Treaty · Observer · Restricted · Embargoed: How each species gets along with Earth in the story.

In the story, every card is a filing from the Archive of First Contact: an Archive ID, a name, a diplomatic status and one short sensory detail. Linen stock, black core, tuck boxes styled like archive folders.
